Will the piano movers be able to fit an upright piano into my property? As long as your doorway or access is wider than the piano depth you are purchasing, this should be no problem for our piano movers. Our movers are able to manoeuvre around corners and staircases just fine, as upright pianos can be turned onto their side to fit through tight spaces.
-
Do I have enough space for a grand piano? If so, how will it fit into my property? If you would like to check if a grand piano would fit in your property, we would be more than happy to help. Please get in touch with us directly either by telephone or email to discuss, we can advise on how to calculate your space. Grand pianos are taken apart for delivery, all legs are removed beforehand as well as the pedal lyre and are often narrower than an upright piano, due to their shape they can be tilted to manoeuvre around tight spaces.

How long is the warranty on your pianos? We offer a longer warranty than most with 10 years across our piano range. We now also offer a new lifetime warranty plan for our pianos, which can be included within our clients piano contracts upon purchase.

I am worried about noise, what are your suggestions for playing piano quietly?Option 1 - Use the practise pedal, sometimes called the middle pedal, this will allow you to play softer. Most modern pianos have these, however if your piano does not, we can retro-fit a practice celeste operated by a lever mounted under the keyboard. Option 2 - Opt for purchasing a silent piano or a silent piano device. These electronic devices can turn an acoustic piano into a digital one which gives you the best of both worlds with no affect on the real piano sound. The Renaissance technical team can retro-fit a silent piano device to your existing piano or a piano purchased through us. Option 3 - Soundproof your space. This is a great low cost option, by using acoustic sound absorbing materials, sheets or panels inserted behind your piano, this can really reduce the volume of a piano between a neighbouring wall.

What age do you recommend children to start learning piano? And can adults learn piano too?We recommend age 5 and upwards for children to learn piano as numeracy and alphabetical learning needs to be a proficient standard first. And yes, adults can most certainly learn piano and are often more committed than young learners. We have had clients purchase their pianos from us in their 40s and 70s to start learning and have progressed very well, often reaching grade 8 and beyond in time.
